ALIGN BALLET METHOD creator and artistic director, Michael Cornell, is a graduate of the National Academy of Arts in Champaign, Illinois. After completing a scholarship with the Pennsylvania School of Ballet, Michael joined the innovative BalletMet of Columbus, Ohio where he had original leading roles created on him by many recognized choreographers over a decade. He is one of only a few dancers to appear as a centerfold image in Dance Magazine. He has extensive experience as a certified coach and education in fitness program design.
Bjarne Hecht is a former leading dancer with the Royal Danish Ballet, English National Ballet and Pacific Northwest Ballet. Having appeared in numerous productions and world tours, he appeared at Pasadena Civic Auditorium, Beverly Theatre and Universal Amphi Theatre in L.A.
After retiring from dance, he studied acting at the Neighborhood Playhouse School of the Theatre in NY and has has been in plays on many NY stages.
When he is not teaching at Align Ballet, he is pursuing film acting.
Born in Studio City, California, Cleo Magill began her formal training at the Colburn School in Los Angeles where she studied closely with Leslie Carothers and Glenn Edgerton. She then went on to be a trainee with the Joffrey Ballet and had the opportunity to perform with the Tulsa Ballet, each for two years.
Desire is an ALIGN success story. As one of our first students, she excelled in all of our advanced classes and began assisting last year.
Since, she has been promoted to an ALIGN 1 instructor for her knowledge, dedication and communication skills.
She has also publicly performed in the styles of ballroom and African dance. Desire is a true dance machine, and you will love her enthusiasm for movement.
After studying ballet in southern California, Grace became the first foreign student at the Korea National University of the Arts Department of Ballet where she studied under Director Sun-hee Kim and other principals.
Grace was also awarded a YAGP Full Merit Scholarship to the John Cranko Schule in Stuttgart, Germany, and later danced professionally with Stuttgart Ballet and Cincinnati Ballet.

Born and raised in Nova Scotia, Canada, Zoe Keijser moved away from home to
study at the Central Pennsylvania Youth Ballet while simultaneously
completing her high school education. She continued her studies and began
her professional career in Vancouver BC where she danced with the Goh
Ballet Youth Company and with the Vancouver Opera. She proceeded to dance
with Connecticut Ballet and then moved to NYC where she
completed Fellowships with the Merce Cunningham Trust. After moving to California she danced with The Pasadena Dance Theatre and ArtistsPlus Productions. Zoe is thrilled to be currently teaching for The Align Ballet Method!
Kiara holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts Degree in Dance with honors distinction from UC Santa Barbara, along with a BA in English. She has performed with the Santa Barbara Ballet Kiara is newly certified with Yoga Alliance 200 hour in Vinyasa Flow and is a writer for LA Yoga Magazine.
Coree McKee began her formal dance training under the direction of Suzanne B. Pomerantzeff at the Academy of Ballet Arts in St. Petersburg, Florida. In her early years she spent summers studying at the Boston Ballet, American Ballet Theatre and St. Petersburg Concert Ballet. In 2013 Coree graduated from the Boston Conservatory with a BFA in Dance.
Sydney Huber is a classically trained Ballet dancer of over 15 years, as well as training in Balanchine technique, modern, and jazz. She began her studies seriously, year round with the School of New Jersey Ballet and then Manhattan Youth Ballet while attending Summer Intensives at the Rock School for Dance Education as well as the School of Pennsylvania Ballet.
